The Illusionist is one of my favorite films of last year and I've encouraged as many people as I can to see it. More than just getting the facts right, as previously seen in his BFI book on Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away and Satoshi Kon: The illusionist, Osmond gifts the field with an informed, well reason, well written critical approach. I bought The Illusionist to help add to my knowledge and the audio commentraies are great too, though they tend to be more about production and so on than the themes. Ambivalent on what to write, I thought of posting on a new acquisition for the library -Jerry Beck's The 100 Greatest Looney Tunes Cartoons.
